Design Phase
Design Review
Design review refers to a specific management technique used primarily for the purpose of conducting a thorough evaluation of the proposed design with the hope of determining whether the current proposed design will actually meet the project requirements set by the customer. A design review can also (and should) be conducted to determine whether the proposed design will be fully functional and, once functioning successfully, can be adequately maintained for a predetermined minimum period of time.
Feasibility Study

Hazard & Operability and Hazard identification Study
The Hazard & Operability and Hazard identification Study known as HAZOP is a standard hazard analysis technique used in the preparation of safety determinations in new or modified systems for the presence of a hazard strength or operability problem and its identification.
Feed
FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) Verification is a technical evaluation work process to validate the technical baseline of the detailed design and engineering or the basis of EPC bidding. A FEED Verification is a systematic approach for reviewing a FEED Package developed by others to be verified the required accuracy, level of completeness, minimise engineering risk of rework or cost escalations, and minimal project cost.
Pre-Feed
Pre-FEED is a preliminary FEED (front end engineering and design) document that is a predefined design package to prove the feasibility in technical and economics. The Pre-FEED is used to a basis of FEED deliverables or basic engineering. (Refer to the FEED (Front End Engineering and Design)
DED
DED is providing technical conclusions on alternative project systems so that detailed designs are obtained which include: design analysis and calculations, design drawings, bill of materials, and work specifications. Support the implementation of construction construction as well as to coordinate in the construction of projects.

Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
Risk Based Inspection (RBI) is a method for determining an inspection plan (which equipment needs to be inspected, when to inspect and what inspection method is appropriate) based on the risk of failure of an equipment.
Residual Life Assessment (RLA)
Residual Life Assessment can be defined as the difference between the expected life and the actual life. For general mechanical equipment, the relationship between expected life and load conditions
